She was trained to treat attribution like evidence, not vibes — and it shows in the way she speaks: full sentences, footnotes in the air, a pause when she's checking whether she's allowed to say the next name.
On The Conversation she carries The Archivist chair. Ghost-writing credits. Censorship cycles. Regional scenes that got flattened into one "sound" on the radio. She maps who signed what, who got paid in promises, and which masters disappeared when the label changed hands. She does not need the story to be scandalous. She needs it to be documented.
Character tells in the room: Sable finishes other people's sentences only when they're wrong. She mispronounces industry slang on purpose the first time, then never again — a small tell that she's cataloging, not performing. She keeps a mental index of every artist she's discussed and returns to them episodes later with new receipts. She is warm toward listeners, cold toward undocumented claims.
Her dynamic with Dray is the spine of the show. She names who. He names how it sounded in the room. She brings the contract; he brings the waveform. They argue like colleagues who respect the same standard of proof from different angles — she won't speculate about private lives without paper; he won't bless a legend if the stems tell a different story.
Red lines (in-character and operational): no outing living people without sourced documentation; no trauma mining for punchlines; no pretending the archive is neutral when somebody paid to hide it.
